The St. Vrain Historical Society, Inc.

Mission The St. Vrain Historical Society, Inc. promotes historic education and preservation in Longmont and the surrounding St. Vrain Valley.
History The Society became a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation in 1963 after functioning for many years as a less formal group. The activities of the Society are managed by a fifteen member Board of Directors who meet monthly, and implemented by a part-time staff and active member volunteers. The Annual Meeting of the Society is held each February and members are kept informed of Society activities through a bimonthly newsletter.
Membership Membership in the Society is open to anyone interested in historic preservation and/or local history. The list of members includes both long-time residents and newcomers, young and old, all of whom share an interest in the heritage of the area in which they live. The projects of the Society are carried out by active committees, which allow members to become involved in areas which are of special interest to them. Their commitment to preserving the past is evident in the many hours of volunteer service donated to the society.
Dues Annual tax-deductible dues are:
  • Individual $25
  • Family $35
  • Senior/Student $18
  • Supporting $125
